Message From the President

May 1, 2016

On behalf of the trustees, faculty and staff, I welcome you to Mount Wachusett Community College. For many reasons, this is an exciting, transformational time to begin your studies here.

We look forward to opening our new $41 million science and technology building on our Gardner campus, which will allow us to continue growing our science, technology, engineering, math and healthcare programs.

As exciting as new construction is, there is more than a physical transformation underway at MWCC. We have added many new programs of study and our student support services have also transformed to meet the needs of 21st century learners, from veterans and military families to student of all ages seeking creative, tailored academic paths.

Since 1963, MWCC has provided open access to quality, affordable higher education to learners of all ages. Whether you are interested in earning an associate degree, transferring to a private or public college or university for a bachelor’s degree, updating your career skills or taking enrichment courses for fun, you will find a variety of options available at our main campus in Gardner, satellite campuses in Devens, Leominster, and Fitchburg, as well as online. You’ll learn from dynamic, dedicated faculty and receive individualized attention in the classroom and through a wide variety of student services.

At MWCC, we believe that your success is our success, and we are here to support you on your transformation from student to college graduate.

Daniel M. Asquino, Ph.D.
